“if you think about all the various laws, all the various rules that govern society in a democracy at least, the people who decide those laws are elected, right, by the people at large. So nothing starts until you get a voter and then a group of voters to come together to elect someone to a governing body. And then that governing body can pass the laws to regulate society. And those laws are not legitimate unless you have a free and fair election to elect the peoples to that governing body. So I think, you know, I sort of came to an understanding that the way the world works, the way society is governed, at least in a free and fair democracy, starts with the voter.
