“I think it’s true.
So when you think you can achieve things, actually, yes, it has an impact and you can actually achieve more things. Yes, very much so and it’s very much based on experience as well. And sometimes I think I see people, so either I see people achieving things that are very similar to me, but those things they do, I’m thinking, wow, this is amazing. Like, I don’t know, in sports it could be going for a half marathon or just trying this really difficult sports like underwater rugby, I don’t know. Just go and try what can happen, right? Underwater rugby must be.
I wouldn’t dare to try that.
Maybe you.
I wouldn’t have maybe the self-efficacy or self-confidence for that.
Maybe that’s the point. Maybe, yeah.
And then on the other hand, sometimes you see people that you have amazing talks with, you perceive that person maybe as a super intelligent passionate person for some reason. But somehow this person doesn’t get the hang of it.
Somehow he or she never finishes what they are talking about and you wonder, so what’s going on? And then sometimes these people also tell you, hey, I think you are so well organized, so well structured and so that on the one hand is really nice to you. But also I feel like these are often things where I don’t think much about, so when someone says that to me, for example, about bouldering, like, yeah, well, I’m just trying and if I fall off the wall, I will get on again.
I don’t think too much about it.”
